The Bernice B. Godine JCC Early Learning
Center
at the Leventhal-Sidman JCC is one of six JCC Early Learning Centers in
the Greater Boston area. We strive to create a vibrant, engaging,
educational environment based on Derekh
Eretz, a Hebrew term for code of behavior, where everyone is
treated with respect. In that spirit, we nurture children,
embrace families, mentor teachers and, in every way possible, bring out
the best in our community. We are committed to the principles of
a quality early learning experience, including teacher professional
development, maintaining small group sizes and good teacher:child
ratios, exceeding national and state standards (including NAEYC), and
supporting children and their families. Our Centers have a strong
reputation for teaching Jewish values based in Jewish traditions and
experiences.
We are very proud that in 2005 our centers were selected by the Jewish
Early Childhood Education Initiative (JECEI) to participate in a
renowned leadership and development program for Jewish educators.
Our format is flexible, with options to meet almost every family's
needs: year-round or partial year; full and half-day.
